This a solo one take performance of the song Pipeline. This is a song written in support of the Dakota Pipeline PROTESTERS. A song meant to wake people up to the gross and harsh treatment given to the protesters and how people's lives should not be harmed or put in danger just for the sake of moving oil.
lyrics
PIPELINE
This thing is meant for connecting
one place to another
Yet this thing will split and destroy
everything it touches
The uproar is in your face
the protest you can't escape
Should be a sign for you that
this is something important
Stand with us hold our
Hands make a pipeline
For love to go from
Your heart to our cause
The problem isn't just the oil that
Will poison the water
It's also the fire that will start when
You pull your trigger
Lay down your weapons we are not
Holding any of our own
Unless our voices are weapons in
That case we are well armed
Stand with us hold our
Hands make a pipeline
For love to go from
Your heart to our cause
Staying silent packing up and
going home we won't
This is home for some and
they have nowhere else to go
Respect for other cultures isn't
Something we should battle for
It's something that we should be
Living with by default
Stand with us hold our
Hands make a pipeline
For love to go from
Your heart to our cause
Step back and look what you are
doing are you thinking clearly
If so then I believe that
we have a bigger problem
Forget the culture, burial grounds,
And forget the water
You still are hurting people just so
You can move some oil
Stand with us hold our
Hands make a pipeline
For love to go from
Your heart to our cause
